And... blue all day!

Well, it's worth a second post today to say that the blue sky, despite being chased around by big, grey clouds, managed to stick around all day! What a wonderful feeling to have the sun shining on your face, and actually be able to feel some warmth from it too!

Is that blue? I really think it's blue!

So, finally, after 20 days of rain (1/2 way to an Ark!), this was the vista that greeted us this morning! Blue sky! It was awesome... it's unbelievable what the psychological value of blue sky is after nearly 3 weeks of grey clouds and endless rain!

Yup, Still Raining...

It is still raining here... so I'm pretty sure that pictures of gray clouds and soggy fields will NOT pick up your spirits... so, back to Hawaii, and some more photos courtesy of my sister!

Surfers at sunset... I never get tired of these photos! I told J that next time we go, Father and Son will be trying surfboards... we'll see!
Sunset in the palm trees... it's a shame this couldn't be a video, like those burning fire in the fireplace ones, complete with the sound of the tropical wind rustling the palm fronds!

Seagulls heading in for the night... the odd thing is, I don't recall seeing a single seagull bothering beachgoers on any of the beaches!

Last glow... a solo swimmer enjoys the warm evening surf as the lone sailboat heads back to the marina. Hopefully these photos will keep you warm for a few more days! Our 7-day forecast is currently Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain with possible flurries, Rain with possible flurries, and... you guessed it! Rain!

Enough of That!

OK, enough posts about the rain! Time now to cast our minds back to that wonderful 10 days in Hawaii, revisited through photos taken on my sister's lovely new camera. The shots are taken during the course of our wonderful, bright, warm, sun-filled day at the Honolulu Zoo.

On the health front, J has weathered a mild case of the flu these past few days, but thankfully with no outbursts of oinking! And, yes, we checked, and there is no curly pink tail either!
