No Arks (Yet!)

Well, no sign of any arks just yet. The forecasters are now saying the expected water levels will not materialize (at least this week), and the water level is now expected to peak at 6.5m instead of the original 7.5m (which would have really made things interesting!).

Life goes on here at the new shack. The original 250 boxes and bags of stuff that we moved is down to about 80 now, and once Karen knocks a big hole in her pile (79 of the 80!) this weekend, we will be in much better shape!

The kids are down to the final two weeks of school and that can mean only one thing - SLEEPING IN FOR JULY AND AUGUST! The cross-town commute has lost its appeal in many ways.

We now have three regular hummingbirds (two males and a female) who visit, and the surrounding trees are full of all types of chattery birds (including the ones who feel the need to chatter at 3:30am!).

Time to go shoot some hoops with my future NBA star!
