After what seemed like an endless stretch of rain and clouds, we emerged back into summer this week. This photo was taken on Monday morning about 6:30am... the mist burns off within the next 1/2 hour.

We have now enjoyed two weeks of adult time, as the kids are travelling with Grandma and Grandpa. It doesn't take long to learn how to enjoy only being responsible for yourself again... no set meal times, no disputes to resolve... but we will soon be returning to "parent mode" when the little darlings are delivered back to us next week!

The summer, once again, has rocketed past and we are already nearly at the end of July. Save for a couple of 38C days, it hasn't been too unmanageable so far, and there is always downstairs to escape to!

Hope your summer is going well, your sprinkler is sprinkling, and you don't quite wish the kids were back in school (yet!).
