"June-uary", they are calling it!

So, while Toronto basks in 35C temperatures, we have hit rock-bottom when it comes to weather. Yesterday, it rained so hard there was actually flooding in some areas of the Lower Mainland! We watched as mini-rivers ran down both sides of our street for hours yesterday (thank goodness for unplugged, well-maintained storm drains!). The wind howled, the trees bent, and the rain slammed against the house for hours. Forgive me for being a bit skeptical when I hear the weatherman say "Only 11 more days until summer"!
