New Year Nighttime

By the miracle of modern technology... it was actually full dark outside when I took this photo... but the timer setting left the lens open about 4 seconds, allowing the reflected light from the snow on the ground and the lights of all the houses to illuminate the scene! After it snowed most of the morning, the sun came out at lunchtime, and we had a beautiful day... until the temperature dropped below zero, and the black ice returned!
