Gone from the garden...

Malcolm Boileau

November 19, 1947 - April 30, 2011

In the midst of all the joy and celebration surrounding the Royal Wedding in England yesterday, we lost a dear, dear member of our family in London. Malcolm, our wonderful and generous host in England for our marvelous vacation last year, succumbed to his battle with cancer at 3am London-time, April 30, 2011. We can only imagine the sorrow his family feels from his death, and our hearts go out to Jackie and the kids and grandkids, and all of the extended family in which Malcolm took such pride. The photo above was taken on July 4, 2010, and shows Malcolm in typical "kit", in his prized garden area as he minds the "grille" during the wonderful BBQ they put on for us at the start of our visit... a lasting image I will always remember. So, wherever you are today, be sure to raise a glass and toast this unique man... a hardworking man like they don't make any more... a family man like the world could use millions more of... an English man! Here's to you, mate!
