A lovely summer day...

It was an absolutely gorgeous day today... the kind of day you gladly call a "summer" day.  The sun was shining, the sky was blue, the temperature was in the mid-20's... it was a perfect day for a walk along the Sumas dike!  I love the old, blue bench at the top... it was just sitting there alongside the path, nearly hidden in the tall grass... and no plaque on it to tell us why it was there.   The old, twisted bridge in the 2nd photo has been replaced by a big, sturdy new bridge a short distance away.  All of the beautiful flowers are in full bloom, and the corn is starting to sprout in its rows in all of the fields... maybe Summer truly has arrived!
