Lunch... $16 and 565 kilometers...

So, we decided to go for a little ride to get some lunch today... and 565 kilometers later we were back home... having gone to Winthrop, Washington for a delicious lunch at the Old Schoolhouse Brewery. The weather was outstanding... 31C in Winthrop... and there was hardly any traffic on the roads, despite it being Summer finally, and the weekend on top of that!  At times, it was like we were riding on our own private highway!  From the top... climbing up from Newhalem toward Diablo Dam... through one of the tunnels east of Newhalem... the view down to SR20 from the lofty heights of the Washington Pass Lookout (5,877' above sea level)... and the gorgeous blue-green of Diablo Lake, held back by Diablo Dam at the far end.  What a day!  Now, if only I could get the feeling back in my right wrist and both butt cheeks!
