1/3 of an Incredible Journey...

 

The cat came back. They thought she was a goner,
But the cat came back. She just couldn't stay away. Meow.

 

On January 30, 2013, the phone rang.  It was the SPCA calling to ask if we were missing a cat named "Snuggles".  I almost said "No", and then I asked "Do you mean Squiggles?"  What followed was a happy reunion with our cat Squiggles (remember, tattoo your cat!), who had gone missing on October 8, 2011!  She was returned to us weighing slightly more than when she left, so it would appear that someone had given her a good home for the past 15+ months, until she decided it was time to move on again!  Since Squiggles was found on the other side of a river, and over 30 kilometres from home, it would appear that the neighbourhood "cat disappearer" had struck again (there are tales from the 'hood of cats going missing and being found many, many kilometres from home).  After a week of what sounded like leaking tires (read: hissing) all over our house, it would appear that some level of harmony has been reached between Squiggles and Olive and Jewel.
