Where we've been...

 

So, we've just returned home from a wonderful 12-day vacation.  The first 4 days were spent in West Kelowna with my cousin, and the next 8 were spent at our favourite campground in Oliver!  The lake we stayed at is visible on the left of the photo above, which was taken from the bluff on the west side of the valley.  To get the photo, I had to spend an hour hiking up 1000' in 30C temperatures... but it was so worth it!  The panoramic view south down the Okanagan Valley is absolutely spectacular!

Our little lake in the fading light at sunset.  Although not the best weather we've ever had, it was 90% excellent and we only had to spend one morning under the canopy under the sprinkling rain.  The temperatures were a full 15-20 degrees F lower than last year... quite a change!  Still, it didn't stop me from being in the lake every day several times, more than getting my money's worth from swimming!
