No china, but some platinum
Our 20th wedding anniversary is coming up in few weeks. The traditional 20th anniversary gift is china. K doesn't want any more china than she already has, and I can't afford to take her to the real China. The contemporary 20th anniversary gift is platinum, which is selling today for $1,618.59 CDN per ounce. And what would she do with a couple of ounces of platinum, anyway? Behold, the perfect solution! A motorcycle! How is that the perfect solution, you ask? Well, some of the parts are made in China, and some of the parts have platinum in them! K has decided that it is time to stop being a "Back Seat Betty" and move up front where the action is, and this is her new ride. It is a near-new 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250R. K will be taking the new rider course in March, in advance of joining our "gang" for the summer riding season. She's not the only one who is excited!
