We Remember...

We remember Pilot Officer Leslie Boileau (1921-2010), Royal Indian Air Force fighter pilot. Uncle flew and fought for his country, England, in his adopted home, India, during World War II, in the unforgiving China-Burma-India Theater. Uncle flew Hurricanes, Spitfires, and Tempests.
We also remember Leutnant Harry Boerner (1920-1993), Luftwaffe fighter pilot. K's father grew up in a country, Germany, in a time of diminishing freedoms and limited choices. He flew Me109's from June 1942 until the end of the war in May 1945, one of the small percentage of German pilots who started at that time to survive the war.
And we remember all of the men and women who have served, and still serve, Canada faithfully.
And we remember all who have given their lives for their country.
