July 14, 2012... The Lillooet Loop

8 motorcycles, 1 support vehicle, temperatures in the 30s... what more could you ask for?  The inaugural "Lillooet Loop", a 600 km loop from the Fraser Valley up through Hope, Lillooet, Pemberton, Whistler, Squamish, and back to the Fraser Valley, was a fantastic success!  After meeting for a big, hearty breakfast at the Home Restaurant in Hope, we were off on our odyssey.  The skies cleared just north of Lytton, and it was sunshine and blue skies after that!  The top photo was taken at the east end of Duffey Lake, where we congregated for a group shot.  The panorama is the Tantalus Ridge, which can be seen from an amazing viewpoint about 10 minutes north of Squamish.  The bottom two shots show the collection in my parents' carport... cooling down while we enjoy a great BBQ in the backyard shade!  The day was a resounding success... can't wait for next year's trip!
