A Hazy Day of Riding...

We saddled up and headed north with some friends in tow on Friday May 1, 2014, with Squamish as our destination.   We rode under high, hazy cloud in 20C temperatures... not ideal, but still great riding conditions.  K got her first taste of a 344 kilometers of highway riding, replete with multiple unmarked and unexpected road hazards, not to mention the usual bad and clueless drivers.  Nonetheless, we made it there and back safely, with a great lunch and a good visit with my family thrown in (Thanks again for the free lunch, Aunt Jo!).  Departure time south was hastened by the looming clouds and falling raindrops, but we managed to avoid all but one of the shower clouds, and the dampness from that one dried off before we got back to the big city... time for some rain gear!
