The sunset last night was stunning in a way you only see a handful of times each year. It started out very grey, with heavy, hazy clouds along the horizon building up as the sun went down. The sun set just before 8pm, and about 5 minutes later, the first blush of pink showed up. Soon after, the pink turned to red, and then the red began to spread until the sky literally looked like it was on fire. The entire horizon was blazing red from 8:10-8:15, and then the red disappeared in about 30 seconds, returning the sky to the original grey colour. Without a doubt, last night's sunset was #1 or # 2 for 2010!
