Promotion to Gang of Six

 

Upped it to a Gang of Six today for a wild and windy ride down to Whidbey Island!  Left home under a black cloud, drove out into perfect sunshine 15 minutes south, drove through howling winds farther south, sat in the gorgeous sunshine in Coupeville (Mosquito Fleet Chili... check it out if you are there!), and then rode back in the sun and wind and cooling air  back up Whidbey Island, down to LaConner, over to Sedro-Woolley, and back home just before the sun started to set.  It will probably go into the books as the last of many great long-distance rides this summer!  The photo above is at one of the scenic outlooks along Chuckanut Drive.
