You know you're living in the modern world when your watch is the first one to wish you a Happy Birthday!  As momentous birthdays go, it was a pretty calm affair.  Hampered by a pesky chest cold, I was not my usual perky self.  However, I did get taken out for a lovely birthday lunch, where I was surprised by my Mom, who had driven down for the day.  After lunch, we had a nice visit on the deck in the glorious sun.  The fatigue from a sleepless night caught up, and a lovely nap was had prior to our impromptu dinner.  The sun set peacefully after a wonderful day.  I hope the next half is as much fun as the first half was!
