Busy times in the big city...

The Olympic cauldron next to the Main Media Center... note the careful framing so you can't see the unbelievably ugly chain link fence.... oh, VANOC!
There was some suggestion that the crowd scene in the previous post was perhaps not an authentic photo taken in downtown Vancouver during the Olympics. I can attest to the fact that this photo is absolutely authentic, taken Sunday February 14th at Robson and Hornby, and all of those people were really there!!!

The coolest thing to do in Vancouver for the Olympics (if you overlook the 3-4 hour lineup to get on it!). A Zip Line across Robson and Burrard, 30' over the heads of the pedestrians! There are some people with very unique screams riding it, let me tell you!
The Olympic souvenir I'd really like to bring home!
What could be cooler than seeing yourself on a 50' high billboard on the side of the Bay? Well, I guess seeing yourself on the podium wearing a gold medal... sadly, that won't be happening for these two Canadians. The crowds have been stupendous, and for the most part very well-behaved! Let's hope it stays that way for the final week!
