Out of the shimmering haze...

 

After an adventurous and prolonged trip south, courtesy of a late friend and a missing bridge, my motorcycling friends and I managed to arrive at the Flying Heritage Collection at Paine Field in Everett, WA, just in time!  And not only did we get there in the nick of time to see the P51 and the P47 take off, we also got to see the ultra-rare, only privately-owned Mig29 in the USA take off as well!  Here, all three shimmer in the heat awaiting permission to take off.
