M-Day minus 2
What is that crashing sound I hear? Oh yah! It's the sound of the countdown clock ticking down the final few days and hours prior to the move. The good news is that the house passed its final inspection (phew!), one day after I had the most expensive lunchbreak in my life... that would be the 45 minutes we spent signing the sale/purchase papers with the lawyer.
Let's see... working non-stop, paying no taxes, buying no food or clothing, and contracting out my children... it would still take how many years to pay off our new house???
We did the final walk-thru with the builder today, and it became very apparent how you can justify the most staggering expense you will take on in your lifetime - "the new home" - simply put, it's beautiful! There are still a lot of little things left to take care of, but the big stuff is all done.
Two frantic days of final packing should have us ready to go Friday morning, and once our crack squad of volunteers is here, we will be off to the races!
Fingers crossed!
John
