One week to go!

Wow!

How did our Countdown Calendar end up at 7 days? Wasn't it just at 35 days yesterday? No point crying about it, the big day is coming fast! I was over at the house today with the kids, and the painters were painting and the carpet guy was carpeting... very exciting! You can really get a sense of what it will look like now, with the tile finished, the carpet in upstairs, and the first coat of paint on the main and upper floors. The kids' rooms are eye-openers to say the least, but what else would you expect when you are using colours like "peanut butter" and "melon popsicle"? The finishing carpenter did a wonderful job of building small, wraparound shelves on the walls in the kids' rooms. The kids will be able to display all of the things that took up valuable desk and dresser space in our old house. Kitchen packing will begin in earnest this weekend, but thankfully, it's the only room left to pack! The rest of the house is waiting patiently in boxes for next Friday. We, however, will probably not have time to be patient!
