Imperial War Museum - II

A towering V2 rocket - the Nazi "Vengeance Weapon" and the first ICBM - stands in the grand entrance to the IWM. You can see it to the left in the photo below.

The grand entrance to the IWM. Aircraft, tanks, rockets, ships, guns... if it was used in a war, it's likely in here! The displays cover all conflicts, all theaters, and many of the greatest and most infamous moments in the history of war.

A view of the main entrance from the 4th floor.

A close-up of "Big Beautiful Doll", Col. John Landers' mount, which hangs in all its restored glory from the ceiling in the main entrance.

Up close and personal with the Focke-Wulf FW190, my personal favourite, from the third floor. My big disappointment at Duxford was not seeing the only flying FW190 (I was told it had crashed two weeks ago in France), but being this close to one was a nice 2nd prize! The RAF Museum had an ultra-rare example of the two-seat FW190 trainer, of which they only made a handful.
