"Sally B"

The incomparable "Sally B", the last flying B17 Flying Fortress in Europe (the only other one in France was recently grounded for due to skyrocketing insurance costs). The other hurdle faced by "Sally B" is the coming "Defence Act" review in the UK... which could ground all classic "warbirds" by virtue of the fact that (theoretically) they could be armed... come on!

And make sure you note the stubby little I-16 "Rata", a Russian open-cockpit WWII fighter, in the bottom photo where "Sally B" is coming in for a landing. You have to see that thing fly! It goes like stink, and sounds like an open-exhaust hot rod!
