Victoria and Albert Museum - I

It just wouldn't be a British museum without at least one guy in his suit of armour! Oddly, there were only a handful of knights in shining armour.

The massive and staggeringly intricate Dale Chihuly glass chandelier that hangs over the main atrium in the Cromwell St entrance to the Victoria and Albert Museum.
The main courtyard in the center of the V&A. It is a peaceful oasis in the middle of a huge 13-acre museum that truly puts your feet to the test of mettle!

The replica of Trajan's Column in one of the two Cast Rooms... the Column is so tall it has to be displayed in two pieces! In the 1800's, a huge campaign was mounted to take plaster casts of many of the antiquities that were suffering the ravages of time. Many of them are displayed in two huge halls... looking just like the real things!

A close up of the details on Trajan's Column... remember, the Column is 100' tall, and about 12' in diameter... each of these figures is nearly life-sized!
